Wearing out wacom pads?

cuiaiwen   July 13th, 2011 9:19p.m.

anybody else starting to get a postage-stamp sized scar on their Bamboo tablets? I'm starting to wonder if I should move the Skritter window around the screen since "burn-in" could be a problem-- or maybe not; are these pads pretty rugged?

If you put a plastic sleeve on it, it works well and keeps your Bamboo from getting scratched.

You can also put the pad in left-handed mode (or right-handed if you've been using it in left-handed mode) to start working on a NEW postage-stamp sized scar on the other side... :D

I'm still on my first pen tip although it's looking a bit old now, the wear is being done on the tip.

You can configure the wacom to assign any part of the drawing area to any part of the screen through the wacom settings.

Well the first stage is it gets scratchy. But then if you continue to plod away the scratchiness becomes smooth, and then it doesn't bother you.

I use a post-it over the scratched area, that way when I wear through it I can easily put another one on.

I tape a piece of paper to the tablet.
